Our client, The Richmond Fellowship of New South Wales (RFNSW), is a community based organisation that provides support to people with mental illnesses and/or psychiatric disabilities and is based at Homebush.
Reporting to the Chairman of the Board, this position has overall responsibility for the leadership, planning and evaluation and development of high quality, consumer focused services across the organisation.
The successful applicant will meet the following criteria:
• At least 5 years experience in a Management role with a demonstrated interest in this community sector
• A commitment to promoting the rights and independence of people with mental illness
• Sound experience in development and management of a range of services which are innovative and responsive to the needs of service users
• Demonstrated ability in networking, community consultation, community development and constituency building
• Organisational leadership, strategic planning, public profile building, development and change management experience as well as substantial senior level experience in financial and resource management
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate staff and volunteers
• Excellent experience in building unified teams
• Sensitive and positive approach to cultural diversity
• Superior communication skills, written and verbal with proficient computer skills
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, education, health or social science or equivalent experience.
