HarbisonCare is the largest and most comprehensive provider of aged care services in the Southern Highlands and has been providing care in the district for over 50 years. It is a community based not-for-profit retirement and care facility, dedicated to providing quality accommodation services to the aged in the Highlands and surrounding area with a capacity for 142 low care, 40 high care, 36 dementia, 5 respite and 20 community care.
Close to Sydney, Canberra, the South Coast and the Illawarra, the Southern Highlands has picturesque towns steeped in history with an abundance of National Parks close by. Renowned for its lifestyle, this is a unique career opportunity.
Reporting to the Board, your challenge will be to lead the organisation, enhancing its profile and performance, overseeing its expansion and developing future opportunities. You will engage with local and regional health services, professionals and the broader community respectively, representing the organisation and fostering strong working relationships. Your drive and commercial acumen will allow you to lead the organisation into the future, focusing on the organisation’s strategic development and continued strong financial performance. You will have a clear appreciation of the quality and risk aspects of aged care services.
With a track record of successful management experience, you demonstrate strategic vision, strong communication and financial management skills, leadership qualities and a commitment to improving the welfare of the aged. A minimum 5 years experience in a similar sized human services organisation at senior management level and a tertiary qualification in business management is essential. Knowledge of industry specific state and federal legislation is highly desirable.
